  • Does not support multiple users

This app does not support multiple users logged into the same account. It’s a pretty common use case: my spouse and I want to control our unit on our own phones but we’re unable to do so with this app. Really disappointing given the Midea AC units are really great.

Awful app. Will not properly setup the new dehumidifier we just purchased. App is less than worthless
  • Useless app

I just had the unit installed today and it appears to be working fine. The app however is useless. I can’t complete the registration process because the Register button is disabled. Tried registering via Facebook instead but I could not get the unit connected to my WiFi.
  • Timer Doesn’t Always Work

The app is easy to use and has all the functionality you really need except you can’t set a timer without turning the unit on first (no big deal). The biggest problem I have is that the timers don’t consistently turn the unit on or off. Not sure if it’s the app or the unit itself, but it is frustrating. Sometimes it works and then randomly other times it doesn’t.

Both this app and the dehumidifier that I was trying to connect to were very buggy. To start with if your WiFi network is 5.0 forget it. This app is set up for 4GHz network. CS said “we have not received any update on upgrading the internet speed.” The only place I found this info is after I was trying to set up the app. As for the unit itself, I tried to use the automatic shutoff fiction, set in a period of about 2 hours. After about 3 hours went and found the unit still running, and the timer had turned itself off. Did this about 3 times. This unit has a pump so I hook it up, put the end in the sink, and waited till it was full. Did not come on, turned off the unit, turned it back on and the pump started. Ran for about 2 minutes but no water in the sink, but lots of water on the floor. Returned unit for money back, and will look at other brands.

Update: as of today; 7/25/21 I finally got the app to work! It’s wonderful!!! What I had to do: 1) Deleted the Midea App 2) Had to forget my 2.4 network 3) Turned off WiFI 4) Rebooted my iPhone 12 Pro Max 5) Turn on WiFI; and Joined my 2,4 network by entering my password. 6) Downloaded the Midea App and signed back in with my email and password. 7) made sure my AC was unplugged for at least 10 minutes. 8) plugged AC back in, turned on unit, opened my Midea App to start connection, pressed WiFI button for 3 seconds until it flashed “AP” 9) finish setup on the Midea App. 10) App finally connected to my 2.4 network 11) All is working now perfectly on the app and Alexa! 12) Awesome!!! 7/24/21 I bought the AC unit for several reasons. The AC works wonderfully and great. However; I wanted WiFI capability with the App and Alexa integration. Nothing works…period. Can not get the app to connect to my 2.4G WiFI. I have tried all the listed troubleshooting tips and still can not connect to my WiFI. I have now tried over 50 times over the last several days…and nothing! Do I have a bad WiFI module on the AC unit?!?!? Need help !!!!

App works well, sometimes loses WiFi connection, but connects again quickly. One issue, the beep is LOUD and can’t be muted. Would be wonderful if the beep didn’t wake the whole house.

Was a fine app for a year, but a month or so ago, it stopped working with Alexa. For disabled people, this is now a big problem. Fix it, starting with no way to reset password! Would someone at Midea fix this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was a flawless setup. Very easy to connect to and get going. I wish the app would also show the temperature of the room not just the humidity level. As this is also important. I disabled the voice ability as I don’t have any use for that and consider any device that listens a gross envision of privacy. Keep up the good work devs!

Spent half an hour trying to get it to work. Errors out every time. Useless.
