An interesting game at first but absolutely NOTHING like the advertisements all over social media. Pay attention to the description in the app store not the fake ads and you may enjoy it more than i did.
  • Sexist game and advertising

I’ve been bombarded for the ads for this game for a long time. Your advertisements were always pretty offensive and disturbing in a common sense sort of way, basically implying women can’t get anywhere in life without a man, or without having explicit relationships with them. The people comments sections of the ads seemed to also agree, screenshotting an option in the game where you can slap a woman. I have little sisters and I can’t imagine what that’s look for them and the other young girls to see games like this reflect their representation in the world and in the gaming development industry. Secondly there’s no option to play as a woman character. The plot of sultans revolves around a very old narrative of a man trying to pine for power, while using women as objects and commentating on the value or lack of value of women, their value seemingly relying on how attractive or thin they are. The ad featuring the option to basically have intercourse with the sultan causing a “promotion” in rank is blatantly problematic for obvious reasons. Inherently an exclusive game for women which is unfortunate as gaming aims to make people feel more free and empowered, not disrespected and objectified. I have no idea how this game got four out of five stars and no doubt there’s some funding involved due to the notorious amount of the ads I’ve seen.

I feel like I would like the game more if it was like it’s ads. The ads make it look so much fun, then once you have it downloaded, it’s not even close to what the ads showed.

I’ve been playing this game for a year now and still enjoy it. I love they they listen and update the game to keep us interested. I’ve met some amazing people while playing. The only thing I hope finds a solution soon is a better way to ban trolls. Especially those who make things too personal and it becomes a safety issue. They just keep coming back after being band a couple days. Otherwise, I appreciate the hard work if developers and look forward to this update.
  • Game is fun but there is a major problem

I enjoy playing the game, it’s a fun time waster that I end up investing a lot of time into, however the way the game handles reports seems non existent. There are players on my server wishing death on others and suggesting that they would cause it. Players are also allowed to call others slurs as the game has no clear report system for this kind of situation. Abuse should be a defined category on the report feature but you have to explain it as “Other” which in other games means the report might as well be worthless, and that is how it feels, one individual has shown abusive behavior to the other players of my server continually throughout the existence of our server and despite repeated reports no action has yet occurred. Until the developers decide to actually do something about players who do this sort of thing the game will never be worth playing, it is more stress and agony than you will ever feel enjoyment.
  • It’s fun but...

It’s a really fun game. But I downloaded it based off the ads on Facebook and those aren’t even options! I wish those options would be added, like being able to customize what your consort looks like, customize the way your Sultan looks, things like that...maybe the next patch y’all can add those options?
  • Fun, but...

This game is pure PAY to play. Someone who does not pay money has little to no chance of making it big in this game. No matter your strategy, your union or anything of the sort. Unless you drop cash, you’ll drop down in rankings. Besides that, it’s a fun game. It takes a LOT of time to maintain though. Rushes are three days long, hunting and fort are within a certain time frame, etc. Wish it wasn’t all based on who drops money. Some unions decide to monopolize unions. All of the big money players join together and make it impossible for anyone to get anywhere.
