  • Graphics & overall text quality varies

    By zyxwvuts
After canceling my iPad subscription years ago due to the app change (the change that ruined the iPad version as we knew it), I decided to come back for another year. Stories load, downloading works, but some of the page view pages look like low quality scans…? And the article/online view has many graphics that are unreadable because they are so low quality/grainy (check out the graphics in the October 2021 pay inequality article…unreadable on an iPad, fine on iPhone—they likely used the same graphics for the iPhone and iPad). This can’t be the hardest thing on Disney’s plate to get right…I don’t get it.
  • Useless

I was excited to catch up on news about Nature, Space, the World. Nat Geo said NOPE, can’t see anything without a subscription.
  • Why why why

I wish I didn’t have to pay to read about some ancient civilizations
  • Font Size

Please make it possible to increase the font size.
  • Hot garbage

I paid for a subscription and spent half an hour trying to sign in on my iPad. I get a blank screen every time. Delete app, reinstall, nothing fixes it. Why can’t I sign in? What a waste of money. At least my physical copy will be here—in 6 weeks. What a joke.
  • A better experience

The app has improved since my previous subscription more than a year ago. Clearly devs have listened the people, although there are some issues when the app freezes. Nothing to hate, though. The download option to read offline really rocks
  • System is pathetic

With a plethora of sites on the Web that work precisely, it is difficult to understand why the NG site is so poorly designed. A few complaints: no customer contact button. No way of contacting customer support from the web site. No linkage between email advertisements and access to the site without having to go through some „pass code“ which leads to a warning that the site be an impersonation by individuals trying to steal my data. Shame on NG for not paying for competent programming help.
  • I cannot restore purchase and use the app

    By PintoLovr
I’m so frustrated! I’ve been paying monthly for a subscription and can’t access any content beyond what can be viewed for free. I keep getting an error message that I need to go to the App Store to restore purchases. None of the steps suggested allow me to “restore purchases” but I keep getting the $2.99 taken out of my account every month. 😫
  • Magazine experience

    By jvmarquezdeprado
Version 7.9.0 Although it is possible to download in the magazine format, I still missed the experience we had in the versions previous to 3.0. The photos, for example, sometimes are cut in different pages loosing quality. Is like a PDF of the print magazine. Still work to do Nat Geo to return to the marvelous experience we had in the first versions for iPad. —————————————————————————————— Version 3.0 Horrible update. I can’t see my magazines, only articles disconnected. The videos of the articles have been disappeared. Is it possible to return to the old version?
  • Hardly ever works

    By cat67!
I guess their 4.8 rating is based on years of functionality but that isn’t true now. Save yourself annoyance and frustration by NOT downloading(and paying) for blank screens …and slow downloads to get to that screen …until they get their act together.
