  • Warning to old school vanilla players...

    By jazzy jazz jazz 1209
Sitting in the airport years after enjoying blizzard games when you were younger? Have some time to kill and thinking about reinstalling hearthstone on your iPhone X? Don’t bother. Logging in is a buggy pain in butt. I spent 20 minutes trying to sign into my old account with a merry go round of requests to log in, security code, verify etc etc. entering the information correctly then I’m locked out of my old account. I just deleted it. Have a nice day players, go to hell blizzard for wasting my time.

Absolutely a pay to win game. If you want to play competitive, I recommend punching in your card numbers first.

  • Blizzard ruins their own titles

    By Doughboy88!
Still amazed on how crappy, rigged, and predetermined this game is. It’s a fun game but blizzard has really done a terrible job with expansions. The same issues occurred with Diablo and World of Warcraft. I stopped playing those games for the same failures. I would recommend playing other games. This game is becoming garbage like their other games. Even with the newest content the game is still predetermined. Still curious why your game is junk and predetermined. I hope you don’t mess up the release of vanilla WoW later this year. Maybe a new development team would work out better for blizzards cause. Your game is still complete and utter f’ing garbage.
  • Double huge download after every update

    By lampis21
After a huge download from the appstore 1gb+ after every update, i open the game and have to do another long download that needs the app open while downloading or will reset. No thank you. 1 long download per update is enough.
  • Failed to get update

    By Vaedok
App has been unusable until they fix the “failed to get update” errors. Reading through forums this has been ongoing for a while
  • Sponsorship

How the hell am I seeing ads for this game every other video? Anyone know how to stop this because this app isn’t appealing at all and has become annoying beyond belief.
  • Polished game, but garbage nonetheless

The game relies too heavily on rng. The card design is awful with single cards increasing your win rate drastically by simply drawing them.
  • “Pay-to-Win”

    By uranographer
This is a “Pay-to-Win” game. When I started playing a lot of people were playing Hunter character. Blizzard Entertainment, to garner revenue later (within a few months) made other characters better than Hunter. You had a choice, switch to a different character (I.e., start over deck building), or put up with the lose rate of Hunter. Since it takes a year or more to accumulate a decent deck in free-to-play, this incentivizes players to spend money, that is, “Pay to win.” Since so many players started out as Hunter, Hunter rarely gets good cards now, and definitely gets less cards than other characters, with new expansions (Blizzard controls all.). Again, this pushes you into switching characters (starting over) if you want to win more often, thus,. for many the “Pay-to-win” bell rings again. Right now (mid 2018 - early 2019) Rogue character gets the best cards and I believe has the highest win rate. Keep in mind it will just be a matter of time before Rogue moves down the rank ladder and some other character (Blizzard determines) moves up. At that time (if you build Rogue decks now) you’ll be faced with, putting up with Rogue’s lose rate or switching characters, thus incentivizing you to pay for card packs. So, free play doesn’t really exist in a true sense. Players who have winning decks have spent a lot of money (hundreds of USD/year) to create their decks and rank up. You can chose not to play “rank play” however, you’re percentage of losses will still be frustrating and again you’ll be faced with “pay-to-win.” Oh, did I mention the bots, that aide in incentivizing the pay-to-win format. I don’t want to attempt to calculate how many years it would take to build a decent deck for each character. It would be useless to try,...Remember Blizzard controls all this, including tournaments. There’s no such thing as “true competitive sporting” in the video game industry. Bottom line, it’s about the money and a company is going to manipulate/maneuver game characters, cards, and card decks as needed to keep it profitable. They achieve this by keeping you following their changes, playing, and therefore spending your money. In effect you are their version of “Pavlov’s dog,”... look it up. If you go into this with the mindset, Blizzard completely controls their games, you’ll be more inclined to keep your money in your own pockets, and/or spend it on tangible items or invest it, which is always a good idea. Nevertheless, you can have a little fun in Hearthstone. Just be realistic, keep your head on straight, and keep your money. :-) All e-gaming is produced to appeal and nurture the “striver” part of psychological personality. We all have a striver side to us, however, this shouldn’t be a dominate part of our personality. When “striver” is dominate,... Strivers are just that, always striving but never getting anywhere.
