My favorite food site. The shopping feature and ease of calling up recipes is outstanding .
  • Faulty app

While the content is good (not great - rarely new content and mostly whitewashed recipes), the app often temporarily erases all my saved recipes and/or gives me an error message when I’m trying to save new recipes. Shocked at how a media organization like the NYT wouldn’t fix this immediately. Also disappointing is the lack of an automated way to submit such complaints.

In these troubled times the best positive activity is to cook for our loved ones. Your daily offerings are keeping a lot of people from losing it. I am a Jehovah’s Witness, so my mental state is stable, even joyous, because we have accepted God’s promise to us that this human world we live in now will be replaced soon by a much better earth, like the Garden of Eden God made for us in the first place before everything got so messed up.But we still live in this world, and the gift of your recipes make a difference of love.

I’ve been a long time user/member of epicurious. One of the things that I love about that FREE app is that I can search my recipe box. How does the NYT cooking, a paid subscription, not have that important and simple feature??
  • Not working

I liked the app, but it’s not working, I’m paying it for nothing! I can’t have access to it I tried everything when I do restore the app it tells me you can’t find my account, so I try to subscribe an account and then it tells me I can’t because I already have an account but I can’t have access to anything. I logged out/in it’s still not working and I deleted the app to download it back but it does same again. And tried both a couple of time! I lost so much time/energy, and I’m paying for nothing so I give up!
  • Reliable go to cook book... sources wanting

This is a great cook book. I wish the time was more realistic. I’m a decent cook. I know where everything is in my kitchen. Multi-tasking while cooking works. But the recipes take longer than indicated. It makes a big difference when a recipe says 2 hours and you start at 5. Dinner ready at, not 7, but 8.

Worked great for months. Recently I tried to save something and it gave me an error message 403. Today when I opened the app all my previously saved recipes were gone and I got the same error message when I tried again to save. So disappointed because I was enjoying using the app so much.
