  • Great for Recipes, Needs Work as a Shopping List, Expensive

    By RhinoDriver
I LOVE this app! I have written a cookbook and am recipe-by-recipe transferring the PDF to Recipe Keeper, which is allowing me to add photos of each of the dishes. The scaling and transfer to shopping list features are fantastic. So, why only four stars? I use this app as a shopping list even more than a recipe file. The shopping list section needs work. While possible to add more than one list (e.g., groceries, hardware), it's difficult to navigate between the different lists. Having a shopping list page with a set of customizable icons for each list would be helpful, as would having an option for the program to default to the shopping list or recipe pages on opening. They also need to add the capability for each different shopping list to have its own set of categories. For example, I have the different aisles listed in my grocery list so my items show up in the order I'll find them in the store. My hardware list needs the different sections of Home Depot. Too expensive, had to purchase three times for my phone, my wife’s phone, and my PC.

This is the best app I have ever used for recipe storage. Easy to use and to share recipes.
  • Best Ever

Best recipe program I’ve ever found! Very easy to use. I probably have everything over-categorized, but it’s so easy to find ANYTHING I’ve captured.
  • Game Changer

Simply great. Save all those internet look-ups, scraps of paper, index cards, old books etc, I have all my faves stored in one place! I also can meal plan, shop and share!! Love it!
  • The search is over!

I scoured the app store for an app to do it all and here it is! Easily load recipes, adjust amounts, beautiful pictures, easily add to meal plans and grocery lists... It goes on and on. I really enjoyed sitting down and taking pictures of some old family recipe cards and adding them to this app... And I was able to keep photos of the cards on the app as part of the recipe. Follow along while cooking WITHOUT all the click bait and annoying videos! LOVE THIS APP!!!
  • Works only sporadically with websites

    By SBJ_841
Giving this a 3 because of how spotty it works when importing from websites. For instance, It won’t import anything from Washington Post and then it won’t even let me copy/paste anything manually. Pretty disappointed in the shoddy work after all the positive things people said about this app. To be fair, when it works, it’s amazing. But when it doesn’t (which I’ve found is the case on a decent amount of websites), it’s frustrating/kind of useless.
  • Excellent and easy to use

I purchased Recipe Keeper when the program I had been using for years went belly up. I was able to import the several thousand backed-up recipes I had into Recipe Keeper. I find this program far superior to my old one. I have it on two devices and it syncs beautifully. Importing recipes from the internet is quick and easy.
  • Great alternative to a physical recipe organizer

Love this app! I can add a recipe on my phone, then access it on my tablet & vice versa. Low, one-time fee for unlimited access. Best app I’ve found!
  • Awesome!

I went ahead and bought the premium version and it has been great so far! It keeps all my recipes in one area from different websites. I have the option of saving the URLs in case I need to reference the original. Super genius app! Thanks!! 🥰
  • Costly to really use

I really love the concept of this app. The ease of use is great. However, be aware if you pay to upgrade in your iPhone you can’t use that upgrade on your laptop. This was the whole reason I upgraded. But not they say I have to purchase another upgrade separately in order to sync recipes with my phone and laptop. That’s crazy and needs to be clear before upgrading. VERY disappointed.
